Tips
- Because the freshwater catches sell for a low value and tin be hands caught in large quantities, they're ideal choices for turning into Quality Fertilizer. During the early game yous may want to put a handful of crab pots in your farm'south ponds (where they're hands accessible to harvest daily) then that y'all can make fertilizer out of their catches and net a bit of fishing experience.
- When the Luremaster Profession is taken, information technology becomes very piece of cake to accidentally pick upwardly your crab pots immediately afterward harvesting them. In guild to prevent this from happening, a simple set of steps must exist followed; Start, clear your entire inventory bar. Secondly, select the furthest correct empty inventory space. Finally, only harvest the crab pots via left-clicking. So long as you lot do not right click, and the selected inventory slot is not filled by harvested trash or fish, your character will not selection up the crab pots!
- Without the profession, the easiest mode is to have the allurement selected every bit yous empty the crab pots, easily baiting the pot right abroad. Baited Crab Pots cannot exist picked up.

- ↑ 1.0 1.1 1.2 Crab pot contents are determined by CrabPot::DayUpdate. For mariners, there is no gamble of junk, and all creatures are every bit probable. For not-mariners, there is a twenty% chance of junk, then each creature is checked sequentially using the chances specified in Fish.xnb. 1 event of this algorithm is that the actual chance of finding a given creature is smaller than the value in the input file, considering information technology can simply exist establish if junk items and all previous creatures failed their tests. If no creature is found, the lawmaking falls back to trash; this adds 18% more chance of trash (for both ocean and freshwater crab pots).
- ↑ Clams are not categorized as Fish by the game. Therefore they cannot exist used in Fish recipes and do not benefit from Line-fishing toll bonuses.
